Mr. Rautray specialises in mining, construction, infrastructure, trusts, international trade, writ and taxation law. He has significant experience of litigation practice in high courts and supreme court, both as instructing and arguing counsel. He has acquired considerable expertise in drafting pleadings, claim statements and arbitration applications under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
He has successfully represented clients in seven domestic arbitrations before the Madhya Pradesh High Court pertaining to enforcement of a negative covenant in a commercial contract. He is presently representing several clients in asset recovery proceedings before various High Courts.
He has advised a large Government undertaking in an arbitration relating to dispute arising out of coal procurement contracts. He has also successfully represented clients in Statutory Arbitration towards recovery of dues for Small Scale Industries as per the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Act.
